Angle bracket
BB angle brackets are particularly suitable for cross connectors made of wood. They are also suitable for fastening wood to other materials using bolts. Not all variants are symmetrical around the bending line.
BB angle brackets with reinforcement rib are made of zinc-plated sheet steel. Due to the moulded reinforcement rib, they can achieve a high level of stability. This makes the BB angle brackets with reinforcement rib particularly suitable for connections that have to transfer large forces, e.g. for rafters to purlins and purlins to wooden beams.
Variants
- AB with reinforcement rib
- AB without reinforcement rib
- AB round hole
- AB slotted hole
Installation
For mounting purposes, the BB angle brackets have nail holes with a diameter of 5 mm. Some variants also have anchor holes with a diameter of 13 mm. For the connection of the bracket with tension load, the hole nearest to the bending line is equipped with 12 mm diameter bolts. The fasteners used for the BB angle brackets must comply with prEN 14592.
Approval
The angle brackets from BB Stanz- und Umformtechnik have the European Technical Approval ETA-08/0183 or ETA-09/0355.
