Are you interested in designing and constructing components, assemblies or products according to the wishes of our customers?

We manufacture high-quality metal products as well as impact-resistant, shatter-proof and temperature-resistant storage boxes made of plastic.

We would like to welcome you to our location in Berga, at the foot of the Kyffhäuser mountains as an apprentice technical product designer, specialising in product design and construction at the beginning of your training programme in September 2025.

What you can expect:

• You will start your career as an apprentice technical product designer at BB Stanz- und Umformtechnik - a subsidiary of the Würth Group
• Specialising in product design and construction, you will design and develop data models and products, which are usually generated in 3D programs on the computer; you will select materials, standards and assembly techniques taking into account costs, design and technical possibilities
• You will prepare the designs you have created in various ways, e.g. as sectional images and detailed preparation, so that they can be used for different purposes
• You will design and plan products before they can go into mass production using modern computer technology in three-dimensional form and create planning documents
• Among other things, you will calculate the size of a product taking into account the properties of different materials or mechanical processes
• Performing various simulations will also be part of your job

Your skills:

• You have completed your school education at least to the level of "intermediate school-leaving certificate"; a high school leaving certificate or a vocational baccalaureate would be beneficial
• With good marks in maths, you have an excellent chance of being accepted to our apprenticeship as a technical product designer
• As you are involved in technical drawing and require technical knowledge and background knowledge about machines, we welcome knowledge of plants and technology; good marks in physics will also stand you in good stead
