Our company:

BB Stanz- und Umformtechnik is a subsidiary of the Würth Group, with headquarters in Berga, Saxony-Anhalt. In the plastics production area, we mainly produce products made from thermoplastics such as containers, storage boxes, trays and other technical products. In the other production area of metal, we manufacture wood connectors and technical punched parts using the follow-on composite process on state-of-the-art automatic punching presses.

To stabilise the market and expand our product portfolio, we are looking for a product developer at the earliest possible opportunity.

Your tasks:

• Technical support for the products and providing product training
• Providing technical data sheets (German/English) and managing product drawings and other technical documents
• Monitoring and assessing competitive activities and regular collection of information on competitors and the market
• Ongoing review and, if necessary, initiation of measures to clean up and supplement the BB and private label assortments, as well as design and implementation of new BB and private label assortments, including regular information to BB and private label partners about new products
• Passing on customer or company requirements for a product to the product development department and monitoring new product ideas right through to the introduction of new products
• Monitoring the modification of existing products
• Creating technical product documentation and information
• Overall responsibility for CE and ETA approvals as well as communication with the relevant authorities
• Product master data maintenance in SAP and management of image data
• Coordinating advertising campaigns in cooperation with the marketing department and supporting the sales department with the relevant market and product information
• Introducing and maintaining an e-shop
• Organising and participating in trade fairs, conferences etc.

Technical requirements:

• Vocational training as a technical product designer or alternatively vocational training in a technical profession in metal and/or plastics processing followed by further training as a technician or engineer
• Secure grasp of MS Office
• Good knowledge of English
